This ambitious trio makes hard-hitting garagerock, not unlike The Small Faces/Humble Pie and The Who. YAK’s music is lively, energetic and adventurous. Not only are they masters at creating pure 60’s-inspired rock songs, they also know how to build perfect dynamic in their feisty ballads. Their latest (and second) studio album ‘Pursuit of Momentary Happiness’ came out last February, via Jack White’s label Third Man Records. The record took every bit of energy from the band and the end result proves it has been a real labour of love. YAK also performed at the Loose Ends festival in Amsterdam.
