At each family reunion Koen eats himself sick with ham and milk. Amateur photographer Stefaan retrieves memories of the past in a very uncomfortable way. Kjell travels back in time to improve his self-esteem. Karel was abducted by extraterrestrials as a child and comes back as a mutant. Jef tries with all his might to fall in love with his new in-laws.
With Quality Time, Daan Bakker presents five tragicomic stories about the dilemmas of thirty-something males who struggle through life. Each story is told in a totally different way, ranging from abstract to realistic. It certainly is a daring decision for a film debut, but at Zienema we believe that this is probably one of the most underestimated Dutch movies of the last years.
