In 9 to 5, we follow three women in the same office: Judy (Jane Fonda), Violet (Lily Tomlin) and Doralee (Dolly Parton). They all have to deal with the daily injustices and sexism that seems to be an inescapable part of office life, but when they connect they finally decide to take matters into their own hands.
Disguised as a silly and highly entertaining comedy, this film deals with ever important issues such as equal pay, power structures on the work floor and yes, even the big C-word: capitalism. Empowering, fun and simply iconic.
