LINE-UP VERA

Atol Atol Atol
A post-punk quartet from the thriving underground scene in Wroclaw, Poland. Their debut album ‘Koniec sosu tysiąca wysp’ (End of the Thousand Island Sauce), is an angular, overstimulated, rhythmically organised yet freedom-hungry punkoid in the spirit of no wave.

Alienbaby Collective
The moniker of Berlin based guitarist and songwriter Liú Mottes. The project’s sonic identity is at once immersive and fragile — layering soft, understated vocals over restless sonic landscapes. The result is music that feels both expansive and deeply inward-looking, inviting listeners into a tangible space full of friction and tenderness.

Avemaria
An enigmatic Estonian quartet influenced by Siberian punk, fairytales, the worst day of your life and your favourite 2010s indie song, Music for people who like public transport, sitting in the sun and washing dishes at parties. Music that makes you want to do everything and do everything and do everything and do everything and do everything and do everything

K not K
A Romanian futurist duo (formally Karpov not Kasparov) who make music based on the rules and strategies of chess. It might seem complicated but the output is always danceable. There are classical allusions and Oriental flavours (chess is an Oriental game after all) and always a dance floor bass-driven sound, live often joined by balletdancers or theatrical performance.

Worm Man
Emerging from the depths of the Serbian underground — Worm Man, a local project from Opovo, brings a visceral blend of dark electronics, synth-driven tension, , and harsh vocals inspired by hardcore and black metal.

Elizabete Balčus
Latvian artist Elizabete Balčus creates neo-psychedelic dream pop from surprising, collaged, genre juxtapositions that are simultaneously melodic and experimental. She works with a strong visual aesthetic that draws upon modern surrealism, contemporary fashion and geometric imagery.

This is the third edition of Vikendica. Named after a colloquial Western Balkans term for a weekend home, the festival simultaneously celebrates the identity and ambience of smaller independent music venues. The previous edition opened in autonomous venue and community Stroomhuis in Eindhoven, which was lost in a devastating fire soon after, also highlighting the fragility of the independent ecosystem. Refuge for 2025 was found with Resistor in Leiden, the venue / community space inside Vrijplaats Leiden, a true paragon of DIY initiative and resilience.
