Boogiefest is back in VERA. Get ready for this hip-shaking, no-nonsense festival that will make you boogie like never before! Featuring the raging, psychedelic ‘Donkey Punk’ of PowerSolo, the intergalactic instrumental cocktail of surf, rock ’n roll and electronics from Les Robots, and the raw, uncompromising garage boogie blues of Bacon Fat Louis, this can only be one big party!

The danish rock and roll band POWERSOLO would be best described as raging ‘Donkey Punk’, a frantic, fast-paced mix of garage rock, punk, psychobilly, surf rock, rockabilly, and psychedelic blues. With a fantastic kaleidoscope of sounds and textures that will enthrall any rock and roll lover, the threepiece uses the power of electricity to the max, taking the listener on a mad rollercoaster ride. “Rock and roll, let’s go, let’s go!” forever!

Then there’s the fat garage-boogie-blues of Bacon Fat, the three-headed powerhouse from the north of the Netherlands. With their massive, gritty grooves and an overdose of energy, they’ll blow you right off that couch! After soaking in their raw, irresistibly cool take on the blues, you’ll be craving an ice cream to cool down!

The intergalactic surf and rock ’n’ roll cocktail of Les Robots! These mechanical men come from outer space, and whoever or whatever programmed them clearly has a soft spot for madcap earthlings like The Shadows, The Ventures, Terry Terauchi, Booker T & The MG’s, Link Wray and various composers of sixties cinema soundtracks.

The Phantom Four  have become an iconic instrumental group since their formation in 2004. The band creates a danceable and sometimes dark sound that combines surf guitars with music genres from all over the world. Bandleader Phantom Frank creates original arrangements bringing together a wide array of styles, from cumbia, afrobeat and middle-eastern folk to classical, rock and electronic music.
