Brighton-based noise rock duo Blood Red Shoes is coming to VERA again for the fourth time! Laura-Mary Carter (vocals/guitar) and Steven Ansell (drums/vocals) make up the band. The name is reminiscent of Ginger Rogers, who allegedly had to redo a tap dance scene so many times that her white dancing shoes were soaked with blood.

Over the years, the band has played more than 1,200 live shows and already managed to release 6 albums with “ghost on tape” being their latest release. Blood Red Shoes has played at Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds, Summer Sonic, Lowlands and Melt, among others. With the 2023 tour, the band honors their punk rock roots by playing a in specifically selected small clubs, ending at the iconic 100 Club in London.
