Experimental and poetic rock double bill
Experimental rock trio Yoo Doo Right wed noisy, melodic guitar parts, effect-heavy synthesizer soundscapes, deep bass grooves and patented percussive furies into a literal wall of sound. In their honest approach to experimentation, they engage with elements of krautrock, shoegaze, post-rock and psychedelia, crafting a unique sound that could be described as a “car crash in slow motion”
Ky Brooks’s life path is as multi-faceted as their musical career. They are a sound engineer, poet, and audio producer. Their significant role in the Montréal experimental music scene dates back to the early 2010s when they co-founded the DIY space La Plante. There, Brooks became involved in numerous musical projects, touring the New England noise circuit. Ky is the new project of Ky Brooks where they combine their experimental punk roots with an eclectic palette of synthesizers, poetry, and noise.
