The Bony King of Nowhere is the artistic alias of Belgian artist Bram Vanparys. He made a mark in 2018 with the release of his critically acclaimed album Silent Days which was hailed as his best album to date. The same album earned Vanparys a Flemish Music Industry Award and revealed the full potential of the singer-songwriter, who’s commited to keep surpassing his own creative abilities.

The new album has been a long time coming, partly due to the above-mentioned dedication to artistic evolution and was released in February 2024. The first single, Are You Still Alive, highlights certain patterns in society, most notably the impact of social media on interpersonal relationships and happiness. The new album holds a lot of punch and energy, with Vanparys showing us all the hues of his voice.

While the songwriting legends, particularly Neil Young and Bob Dylan, have always kept Bram company, his latest compositions also draw inspiration from contemporary artists.
