Named after the ancient city of Timbuktu, Al Bilali Soudan presents an enchanting, improvisational blend of traditional Tuareg rhythms and melodies. At the heart of their music is the Tehardent, an ancient string instrument and precursor to the banjo, which has accompanied griots, bards, and dancers for generations.

Under the guidance of master musician Abellow Yattara, the group effortlessly weaves their virtuosic playing into a rhythmic, captivating experience. Their music breathes tradition while remaining vibrant and innovative.
