Powerful biopic of French photographer Camille Lepage, who travels across the Central African Republic to report on the civil war. Realistic scenes reveal the complexity of the conflict, while the film shows the humans’ capacity to face even the toughest situations with dignity.

Young, ambitious Camille arrives in the Central African Republic as an independent reporter. Full of idealism, she is convinced that her work can make a difference in a seemingly hopeless conflict. Her unbridled energy brings her to the heart of the war that brings out the worst in people, as she witnesses its consequences.

The film contains photos that Lepage made herself, giving it an utterly realistic edge. This is reinforced by the natural acting of the cast, which is composed mainly of amateurs. All in all, director Boris Lojkine paints a well-balanced and compelling picture of the conflict.
