One glance at my watch says enough: I need to hurry if I’m going to make my appointment. I rush down the stairs and grab my bike. Feet on the pedals, headphones on. The latest album by Citric Dummies blasts through my ears, with a record by The Gobs queued up next. I ride faster, faster and faster. Out of breath, I arrive at my destination – just in time.

You’d better reserve your tickets for the fastest show of the year, because the Dummies and the Gobs are touring Europe together. On April 4, these two bands will blow the roof off our basement straight through the coat check.

The band The Gobs has song titles like My Baby Is a UFO and designs album covers with a clear theme: aliens. It carries over into their extraterrestrially charged music, where at times it sounds like the flying saucers have already landed on Earth. Like their tourmates, Citric Dummies come from the US and describe themselves as “fast punk, no breakdowns.” Says it all, right? | Eli
