Fight Club geeft een briljante analyse van onze consumptiemaatschappij en maakt een einde aan de mythe van de mannelijke superheld. Au!

Ron Muller is taking his leave of the VERA Zienema crew and has decided to treat us to a 35mm screening of a timeless masterpiece. Even before anyone had seen a single scene of Fight Club, David Fincher’s (Se7en, The Game) movie was being called the most controversial film of the year. And rightly so. But the many fights that had critics turning away in despair weren’t what made it an unforgettable screen experience. Fight Club simply gives one of the most brilliant screen treatments analysing our consumer culture yet to be seen, and in doing so also manages to dispel with the myth of the male superhero in bruising fashion. Ouch!
