The sound of this Dutch band is perfectly gloomy and dark, and draws inspiration from an impressive selection of genres. Their music includes elements of post-rock, progressive metal and post-punk. The mysterious atmosphere makes GOLD’s music moving and captivating, and provides it with almost a cinematic quality. This is all due to the layered wall-of-sound consisting of heavy guitars and impressive soundscapes. The latest studio album, ‘Why Aren’t You Laughing?’, came out in April.
