Meetsysteem is the project of Amsterdam-based musician Ricky Cherim, who creates dreamy Dutch-language synthpop influenced by electronic music and indie rock. His debut album Geen Signaal (2019) stood out for its characteristic lyrics and warm, melancholic productions. In 2020, he released the more introspective Cr:GO, which focuses on themes like climate anxiety and mental health. His music balances chaos and structure, sometimes sounding like an acid-infused video game.

His new album Gekleed In Donker, Ze Vroegen Niks was released on May 16 and is filled with dreamy Dutch-language electronica. It feels like a walk through a strange city, with soft beats, unusual sounds, and open, personal lyrics. At VERA, Meetsysteem will celebrate the release of this album with a special album presentation.
