If you are scanning through the Vera Downstage shows this month and seeking the least “punk” show A) what are you doing here B) this one is probably for you. That is nothing against this four-piece and their ability to rock. I, myself, am a total sucker for those jangly pop guitars.

Coming from Oegstgeest (or as they call it, “O-town Shit Town”), Mo Bedick is aptly described as a bedroom pop recording project turned into a full band. Their guitar fuzz and reverbed-out vocals bring natural comparisons to Beach Fossils and Homeshake. This group is making a name for themselves in the world of psych/dream/pop rockers. And they seem to be having a good time doing it. Good for them.

Their first EP, SICKO was just released in September on the Geertruida label (Creepy Karpis, Iguana Death Cult) and you can listen to it below. Their second EP, SKATE 4, is already recorded, so expect more from this group soon.

Until then, come check them out in the Vera Kelderbar October 12th! |CISKA
