My Friend Television have returned with a brand new album! Six Times My Friend Television will be released in June, followed by a releaseparty on the 29th of June at the VERA Mainstage!

Frontman and cartoonist Ricky van Duuren has been a familiar face in the Groninger-scene for a while now, with bands like Boegies, The Moonlizards and De Straaljagers.

My Friend Television started out as a folkduo with so-called ‘psychedelic tendencies’. Soon after the duo turned into a band, exploring the desolate and dark sides of blues, country, folk and rock. With honest songs about love, desire and affection, or life in it’s whole, the band draws inspiration from Big Star, The Band and The Velvet Underground.

Six Times My Friend Television is the result of their journey, with versatile sounds of pop, indie and country.
