The Groningen-based Meadowlake started as a group of friends who wanted to make music together. The dreampop band plays a powerful mix of songs wrapped in thick layers of guitar and reverb, with shoegazey sounds that push the boundaries of the genre, clearly influenced by folk and singer-songwriter music.

Now there’s a new Meadowlake album! ‘where the mountain meets the sea’ came to life in collaboration with Buck Meek (guitarist of Big Thief) and Germaine Dunes. The album was recorded in their brand-new studio in Topanga, Los Angeles. The time Meadowlake spent in America brought the band back to the essence of making music together. By recording the album live, they rediscovered the joy of the recording process, which is definitely audible not only on the record but also in their live performances.
