Radio Cyanide, but different. This night is all about the album presentation: new material, fresh off the press, played live the way it’s supposed to be. With speed, tension, and tight performance, fused into a mix of fierce punk, hardcore urgency, and sharp post-hardcore influences that translate live into a sweaty crowd in front of the stage. This angry band consists of singer/lyricist Serge van Laar, bassist Jurjen Kah, guitarist Michel Jonker, and drummer Reinee Huizinga. The members have previously played in bands like Uhgah? Wugah!, HoppaH!, Cryonic State, Suffering Quota, and Makiladoras. Straight-up punk, no bullshit.
Youth Deprivation plays dirty hardcore punk in the spirit of Black Flag (up to Damaged), Rudimentary Peni, and The Germs. Despair drips from the vocals, like the singer is gargling with the stings of Dystopia and Anti Cimex and spitting it right in your face. After countless shows at home and abroad, Youth Deprivation is a confident, high-energy live band: pounding grooves, smart tempo shifts, and full throttle at exactly the right moment.
Dancing resistance against this greedy world. Stamp along with singer-songwriter punk band GraafLandgraaf. Let yourself scream, churn, and rage. Join the collective middle finger that grows a little more every day. With fuzz, pitched bass, pounding drums, surprising sax solos, boundless energy, and hard-hitting lyrics, these punks will get your feet moving—whether on a stage or in the middle of a demonstration.
