Primitive Ring brings together three familiar forces from the LA underground: Bert Hoover (Hooveriii, GROOP), Jon Modaff (JModaff, Hooveriii, GROOP) and Charles Moothart (Fuzz, GØGGS).
Formed through a shared obsession with melody, rhythm and raw rock ’n roll instinct, the trio strips away excess modernity in favour of something primal, hypnotic and alive. Their music feels both immediate and timeless: a collective sound forged through instinct, chemistry and repetition. “Bring in the new” doesn’t mean abandoning the past, but pushing the story forward.

Fans of Hooveriii — who lit up Vera in 2024 — will recognise the same adventurous spirit, now distilled into a heavier, tighter and deeply immersive new form.
