Even though The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band is a trio they certainly live up to their name in terms of sound. With heavy bass, bluesy riffs, growling vocals and the metallic scratch of a washboard, they certainly sound like a “big damn band! And they’re even one of the few rock bands still using the washboard regularly since Black Oak Arkansas.

The latest album from Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band was written by candlelight and then recorded with the best technology available in the 1950s. Yet you won’t find another album as relevant, exciting and timely as Dance Songs for Hard Times. Indeed, it depicts the hopes and fears of living with a pandemic.

Prepare for an evening of blues, honky-tonk country and rock and roll!
