Praised by Pitchfork for their “loud, rousing and unhinged” live performances, New York City-based White Hills return to European and British stages this fall. The fierce, genre-crossing music of core members Dave W. and Ego Sensation is risqué and rooted in punk ethos and no-wave aesthetics. Their latest album, The Revenge of Heads on Fire, is filled with hedonistic rock combined with blissful passages of dark ambience. The band explores themes of mortality, transformation and reveals a spiritual depth beyond previous works. The roar of fire, the churning of oceans and hallucinatory visions can be heard throughout the 75-minute journey.

The New York-based band has earned a reputation as one of the most prolific bands of their generation and has made more than 11 studio albums, along with numerous EPSs, singles and collaborations. They weave elements of post-punk, krautrock, goth, metal and psychedelia in the vein of Killing Joke, Bauhaus and The Birthday Party. White Hills has toured extensively around the world and was featured in Jim Jarmusch’s film Only Lovers Left Alive.
