Tiny Arrietty and her parents live under the floor in a house where real people live. They feed on a “borrowed” sugar cube here, a tea leaf there. Everything changes when Arrietty is spotted in the overhead world by a boy. 

A beautifully made, animated, film from the renowned Ghibli studio; founder and master animator Hayao Miyazaki (Spirited Away) left direction this time to debutant Yonebayashi, who did a creditable job and had the soundtrack done by France’s Cécile Corbel.
