Line-up Mainstage
Marathon
Marathon is not just a band, it’s a top-level sport. The Amsterdam-based trio accompanied by keyboardist Sofie and guitarist Victor, is bursting with energy, and it explodes out of them on stage, captivating audiences everywhere they go. Marathon’s music is a passionate response to the crisis-ridden twenty-first century, channelling the energy of punk and the dissonance of shoegaze and post-punk to give voice to urban anxiety. With four Paradiso shows under their belt, a packed Popronde, Welcome to the Village, Grauzone and many more, Marathon has quickly amassed an impressive live reputation, culminating in a top-10 spot at Noorderslag. Both KINK and 3voor12 recognize the band as one of the talents of 2023.
Mood Bored
An existential crisis that feels like a summer breeze. With poppy hooks, punky basslines and raw guitars, Mood Bored is an exciting new indie-rock treat. The three friends (from Tilburg) create nostalgic songs about finding your place in a world where everything seems to be completely fucked.
Heath
A psychedelic storm rages over The Netherlands, and its name is Heath. Their debut album “Isaak’s Marble” marks the beginning of a long story and opens the door to the world of Heath, where anything is possible. Odd time signatures, blazing harmonica, and driving guitars accompanied by narrative vocals create an enchanting journey. Heath is known for their energetic live shows, which together with carefully drawn out eclectic songs seamlessly blend into an atmosphere that is both hypnotic and liberating.
Alison's Fall
Alison’s Fall, an alternative rock band from The Hague, is created by Siblings Floortje and Pepijn van der Kooy out of their passion for dirty, fuzzy rock music. With years of experience between them they play with a bond that is almost telepathic. Complemented by their drummer Martin Brummelkamp and multi-instrumentalist Douwe Hoonhout. Alison’s Fall is ready for anything thrown at them. The “walk like a badass” mentality forms the basis of the band in which the rhythm section drives forward like a steaming machine, while at the same time you are chased by the aggressive and cutting guitar sounds. These two extremes are tamed by a sincere and characteristic voice.
Line-up Downstage
Outahead
Armed with stage antics that would make Kurt Cobain take notice, Outahead is ready to declare war on the saturated post-punk landscape. Their dynamic presence and raw energy are set to electrify the stage, ensuring an amazing performance in the basement.
Helen Jewett
Helen Jewett combines Post-Punk with Shoegaze in an infectious manner. The three music students from Zwolle fill in despite their small line-up each room with a raw energy. Their strong live set and original sound will make you take yourself back to the post-punk scene of the 80s.
Asymmetry
Asymmetry plays instrumental, progressive hard rock. Their goal is to make extraordinary music that is listenable yet accessible for everyone. Hard rock is a very general term: all band members are inspired by different musical genres and therefore metal, soft rock, funk and even classical music are detectable in their songs. In 2022 Asymmetry released their first EP “In Character”.
