September is almost around the corner, and this means the return of Zwemfest. As always, organised by student associations of the University of Groningen: VIP (Psychology), GHD Ubbo Emmius (History), GLV Idun (Life Science & Technology) & Ibn Battuta (Spatial Sciences). Member or not, everyone can join for an energetic night where seven bands will play on the two VERA stages! Take a jump into the waters of Zwemfest 2025, and let yourself be surprised on the 25th of September!
LINE-UP MAINSTAGE
MOMSNAME
Dreamy, melancholic indie rock with a raw psychedelic edge. With two EPs and shows at ESNS and Rotown, MOMSNAME knows how to wrap you in softness and then make you dance, or cry, sometimes both.
Alexander Moto
Reflective hip-hop with dreamy flows and sharp lyricism. From Leeuwarden, Alexander Moto has released multiple projects and keeps pushing boundaries. At Zwemfest, he proves why he’s one of Friesland’s most exciting rising voices.
Salamander
An eclectic mix of cheesy hip-hop and stripped-back jazz. Salamander blends sharp lyrics with surprising beats and a sound that defies categories. Step into their amphibious world full of unexpected twists.
shoom
From living room debut to tours in the Netherlands and the UK: shoom delivers a fever dream of swinging guitars, subtle rhythms, and searing sax solos. Think black midi meets Talking Heads — and everything in between.
DJ: TILLSAMMANS
Eclectic sounds, soaked in disco and made for movement. TILLSAMMANS fills the space between sets with high-energy mixes that turn any floor into one big, connected rhythm.

Multi-instrumentalist and storyteller. Shanti Raya blends introspective lyrics with humor and grooves that make you dance or freeze with goosebumps. Music in every color, always with his unique touch.
Another Forest
Danceable hooks, rough guitar riffs, and powerhouse vocals. Another Forest blends alternative hard rock and progressive metal into a wall of sound you won’t forget anytime soon.
MARYSCOOVY
