When Otto Maddox (Emilio Estevez) loses his job, his girlfriend, and his future tuition fee all in a short time he decides – desperately – to start working as a “repo man”. At first he seems to enjoy his new life, however, the story becomes a lot more complicated the moment he receives the order to look for a twenty-year-old Chevrolet Malibu with a suspiciously high price.

Repo Man often turns up in lists of the best movies of 1984, and in particular, shows an interesting representation of the average punk movement from this period. Furthermore, this movie gives you a chance to see the recently deceased Harry Dean Stanton acting in one of his more iconic roles. The absurdist mix of comedy, science fiction, social criticism, and punk rock, makes this a movie worth experiencing.
