Autarkh + Alkahest + Farer
Dutch loud and noisy metal triple
Autarkh is an experimental metal band from Tilburg, founded by Michel Nienhuis, and is a continuation of his previous work with the band Dodecahedron. The group blends metal with elements of techno and electronic music. Their debut album Form In Motion is characterized by a mix of heavy riffs and electronic beats, with lyrics exploring human nature and the universe. Their second album Emergent is more versatile and optimistic, with a clearer sound.
Alkahest is a post-black metal band formed in 2022 at the Metal Factory in Eindhoven. The five-piece group translates alchemical themes into a unique sound, blending sludgy riffs, blast beats, screams, and atmospheric elements. After debuting at Roadburn Festival (2023), they are known for intense live performances and a dynamic sound that ranges from fast grooves to delicate passages, embodying their alchemic post-black metal trademark.
Farer is a Dutch doom/noise trio, from the Netherlands, known for their heavy, guitar-free sound built around two bass players, harrowing vocals, and intricate drumming. Originally named MENHIR, they became Farer in 2019 and released their debut album Monad in November 2020. The album explores themes of creation, destruction, and singularity, blending oppressive, drawn-out songs with primal screams and grinding riffs.
