Rainy indierock
You know the drill, right? Those days when you actually wanted to do some stuff. Like shopping, painting a wall (but you have to get paint first) or visiting one of your friends you haven’t seen in a while.
But it’s raining. And it’s not a typical heavy downpour that can be done in 30 minutes, but real shitty weather. You know that arriving at your location of choice soaking wet is no fun either. So, you look at your favorite type of rain radar and see a time window around a specific moment where it will drizzle for a second. And that’s when you decide to go outside. That little bit of hope during a drizzly autumn day where you can do whatever you want, that’s the Groninger band MIEZER.
Consisting of, among others, our in-house photographer Martsen Hut, this band plays music like a refreshing rain shower on a muggy summer day. Dreamy, misty indie rock that can make precipitation sound like rainwater. It’s not a downpour, no, drizzle (miezer in Dutch) drips through and hopefully you’ll drip like that into the concert. Drought or cats and dogs, there will only be one type of weather in the Downstage bar on the first day of autumn. And that’s MIEZER. | HILLE
