Few announcements at VERA have come together quite like this one. By mistake, NME reported that Drink The Sea would be playing at VERA, which immediately sparked a flood of calls and emails from fans asking why the show wasn’t listed on our website. We had no idea, neither did their booking agency — but since we were already on the phone anyway, it turned out Drink The Sea didn’t have anything scheduled for that date, and the band members actually loved the idea of playing VERA. The rest is history, so without further ado: we proudly present: Drink The Sea!

This new supergroup centered around Peter Buck, best known as the legendary guitarist of R.E.M.
Together with Barrett Martin (Screaming Trees, Mad Season), Duke Garwood, Alain Johannes (known for collaborations with Chris Cornell, PJ Harvey and Queens of the Stone Age) and percussionist Lisette Garcia, he brings together decades of experience from the alternative rock scene in an exciting new band.

Following the release of their debut single ‘Outside Again’, the group quickly followed up with two impressive double albums last year, showcasing the remarkable chemistry between the band members.
