During ESNS20 punk poet and singer Florence Shaw delivered a great performance in VERA, although the mainstage wasn’t even half full due to a problem with the emergency exit. The lucky ones saw a highly anticipated show since Dry Cleaning released two great EP’s full with their nervous noisepop and postpunk.

The press loved it and a great festival season was bound to be ahead, but like many other bands their careers came to a sudden stop.

Meanwhile Dry Cleaning decided not to wait, but to head into the studio. The result of their efforts is the new album ‘Stumpwork’ which will be released on October 21st. The first singles ‘Anna Calls From The Attic’ and ‘Don’t Press Me’ are both exquisite songs that contain some more experimental sounds and pop influences. The noisy guitar hooks remind of bands like Protomartyr, Ought and The Fall.
