ESNS (Eurosonic Noorderslag) is the Music Conference and Showcase Festival (18-20 January 2023 in Groningen, The Netherlands)
With 4000 delegates, showcases by 300 artists and a conference with 150 panels, keynote speakers, interviews and meetings, ESNS is the key exchange and networking platform for European music, European artists, international music industry professionals and organisations.

Francis of Delirium (LUX)
Born out of a bedroom project, Francis of Delirium was created by solo artist Jana Bahrich (Vancouver) who invited drummer/producer, Chris Hewett (Seattle) to form an indie rock band, based in Luxembourg. Synthesizing grunge and folk to create high energy indie music, inspired by Car Seat Headrest, Japanese Breakfast, Mitski, Sufjan Stevens, in an evocative and vulnerable experience that encourages the listener to look inward. They released three EPs, toured The States and EU as support-act and did a headline tour in the UK.

Adwaith (WLS)
Adwaith are Gwenllian, Hollie and Heledd, a post-punk group from Carmarthen in South West Wales who sing in their native Welsh and in English. In 2018 the band released first album ‘Melyn’, which won the Welsh Music Prize 2019 award for Album of the Year. They played several large festivals all over Europa and North America, and were main support for IDLES and The Manic Street Preachers on a string of arena shows. This summer Adwaith released their eagerly anticipated second album ‘Bato Mato’.

Hammok (NOR)
Hammok’s music is both alternative and aggressive. Though in essence a hardcore band, the Norwegians also draw a lot of inspiration from post-punk, indie, post-rock and metal. The trio from Oslo doesn’t shy away from breaking and challenging patterns and rules of the genre, adding some hip hop attitude or replacing guitars with synths. After a handful of singles Hammok is gearing up for their debut LP.

Public Display of Affection (GER)
For the voyeur in all of us, PDOA (Public Display of Affection) have arrived, an international four-piece playing their part in keeping Berlin weird. Led by Australian singer Madeleine Rose and a punky, sinful attitude. Coming off a hot streak of touring, they unleashed their first EP in 2021, followed in September 2022 by debut album ‘I Still Care’., PDOA’s live shows hark back to the fearless eccentricity explored by the West Berlin performance art and music collectives of the 1980’s.
