Tristan Shone’s Author & Punisher merges industrial and drone metal with artful sound design, creating dark, immersive sonic landscapes. Using custom-built instruments, Shone blends mechanized drones with heavy, punishing riffs, often integrating organic textures like birdsong. His music thrives on experimentation and collaboration, drawing from global artists to expand its depth, while guitarist Doug Sabolick contributes to the project’s rich tonal and melodic heft, pushing the boundaries of heavy, industrial sound.

Tonight they’re joined by special guests FANGE, a French band that fuses sludge, noise, and industrial extremes, crafting oppressive walls of sound with eerie melodies, redefining heavy, punitive music through relentless experimentation and live intensity.

Hybrid Presents is the festival’s year-round extension and a smaller but sharply focused version of what Hybrid stands for. Each edition brings together the energy of VERA and the never-stopping pulse of OOST, with two stages that move between cutting-edge live music and forward-leaning club sets, condensing everything you expect from Hybrid.
