LAWN was formed in 1998. With a fondness for space and stoner rock, the band gradually evolved towards indie and post-rock, without losing its dynamic guitar sound. The band released three albums, with Backspace opening the doors to numerous stages and festivals across the Netherlands. After extensively touring their final album, Silver (2009), things suddenly went quiet.

Now, more than 16 years after their last show, LAWN is returning to the stage. A surprise to many, not least to the band members themselves. Until autumn 2025, nothing seemed to point towards a reunion.

With Job, Titus, André and Sietse back in the line-up, things quickly clicked just as they used to. A little greyer, a little wiser, and… a little louder? Either way, November 19 is the date set for LAWN to return to their ‘home base’, VERA. Not just to dust off the old material, but to bring along a number of new songs as well. Songs that have patiently waited 16 years to be written, but apparently still needed to be…

The Leeuwarden-based band MOMSNAME will join them as support. They blend alt-rock with shoegaze, emo and math-rock influences. The band is known for dynamic shows that bring together visuals, scenography and spoken word, moving between dreamy calm and raw intensity.
