The darkly immersive solo project of musician, producer, and engineer Andrea Fox Volpato, Painted Vein blends shadowy psychedelia, noir-tinted shoegaze, and atmospheric post-punk. After a decade touring worldwide and recording with acts like New Candys and MØAA, Andrea channels his experience into a sound driven by hypnotic guitars, haunting vocals, and meticulous production.

His debut album Dripping Only Black showcases a fully self-crafted vision. Every instrument written, performed, and recorded by him between Venice and Seattle. Painted Vein begins its second chapter in December 2025, ahead of an EU/UK tour in early 2026, also stopping by VERA.

Support Vixsin is a Groningen-based shoegaze solo project by Lotta Thomése. She recently played a VERA Downstage show with her band, unveiling a set of songs inspired by Cocteau Twins, Whirr and Slowdive, dreamy and reverberating into a dense wall of sound.
