Prettiest Eyes, known for their psychedelic mix of fuzz-garage and synthpunk will be playing in VERA again. The trio founded the band in Los Angeles, and their last album ‘Pools’ (2017), on the label Castle Face, left a positive impression. Their music may be experimental, diverse and at times dark, it still has a nice catchy feel. The first EP, released in 2013, and the first full release ‘Fools’ (2015), sound like a raw mix of psychedelic 60ies garage, 70ies punk and is influenced by Suicide, among other experimental 70’s bands. Their latest, ‘Pools’, is fuzzier, heavier, darker and more experimental. They created a perfect mix of garage, psychedelica, punk, and gothic. The band often gets compared to 70-ies L.A. synthpunkband The Screamers and (post)punkband Chrome, from the same era.
