Romperayo is a Bogotá-based group bringing their own modern version of cumbia and other Colombian tropical rhythms. It’s almost impossible not to dance to this energizing act.

Romperayo comes from a new wave of the Colombian music scene, re-interpreting their roots in a fascinating way with the use of traditional rhythms modernized by electronic music, seventies psychedelica and humor. Other groups from this particular scene are Meridian Brothers, Frente Cumbiero and Los Pirañas. Romperayo also shares their drummer (Pedro Ojeda) with Los Pirañas.

The group played with lots of success on festivals like Roskilde (DK), Fusion (D), Best Kept Secret, WTTV and Oerol.
