The idiosyncratic Dutch trio Stuurbaard Bakkebaard refuses to be confined to a single genre. Their adventurous sound moves between experimental rock, neo-psych, avant-garde, blues, funk, and indie, with fuzz, angular drums, and twisted vocals as their trademarks. Since forming in 1996, the band has released five albums, played hundreds of shows, and created music for film and television. Now they return with Feeding The Rats, their sixth album. zZz is the Amsterdam-based duo of Björn Ottenheim and Daan Schinkel, formed in 2000. They played VERA just last year, bringing their dark, hypnotic sound to the stage. Their music moves between sleazerock, new wave, krautrock, punk, stoner, indie, and psychedelic organ rock. After a decade of silence, zZz returned in 2025 with Konnichiwa – Guten Tag – Money Money, an explosive album packed with restless, danceable tracks. With their uncompromising sound and intense live shows, zZz have grown into an international cult act, performing everywhere from Lowlands to SXSW.
