Since 1988, the American band Supersuckers makes furious and filthy rock & roll. The unprecedented enthusiasm for rock & roll runs through the blood of the band members, and they are only getting better because of their years of experience. The Supersuckers have visited VERA many times the past 25 years, so brace yourself for an evening filled with top-notch rock & roll.

On the brand new album “Play That Rock N’ Roll”, the Supersuckers honour firm garagepunk rock & roll in a fiery way. The 2020 album came out on SPV/Steamhammer, and is their thirteenth full-length album.

The album was recorded in only four days in Willie Nelson’s studio in Austin, Texas. This album bursts with heavy riffs and grand choruses brought with an unprecedented intensity, exactly as we know from the Supersuckers.

Support: Skroetbalg

The men from Skroetbalg (Drents for ‘show-off’ or ‘bragger’) sing about the topics which make life worth living: beer, cars, fighting, other people’s mother and of course their beloved province. Their punkrock flirts with older and more recent rock hero’s, but they are not scared to break the soundbarrier (and -norms).

In the beginning of 2021 Skroetbalg resealed their first demo and several digital singles. This demo was received well, and even got airplay on a.o. 3FM, KinkFM and more regional channels.
