The Lemonheads are among the most beloved and influential bands of 1990s alternative rock, driven by Evan Dando’s warm voice, melodic finesse, and laidback charisma. With classics like “Into Your Arms,” “If I Could Talk I’d Tell You,” and their iconic cover of “Mrs. Robinson” (whose music video was even shot in Groningen), the band secured a lasting place in the collective memory. Their signature blend of power pop, melancholy, and slacker rock has lost none of its strength over time.

This October, The Lemonheads return for the sixth time to VERA with Love Chant, their first album of new, original material in nearly twenty years. After a long period of writing, wandering, and starting over, Dando found renewed inspiration and calm in Brazil, where much of the album was recorded. The result is a record that feels both familiar and exploratory, enriched by new collaborations and a renewed focus on melody and atmosphere.
