In this offbeat, black-and-white sci-fi comedy, three extraterrestrial visitors arrive on Earth to rid themselves of romantic emotions, which are considered toxic to their planet’s atmosphere. They are told to have their hearts broken on Earth, where such heartbreak is considered a given. Instead, they encounter the complexities of human connection—where vulnerability, desire, and dependency prove difficult to contain. One of them, Zoinx, even develops very sapphic feelings for the Earthling Jane, all while being tracked by two undercover government agents.
